To get everyone started, I will give some facts that may inspire you to do more and save the environment.


· In the U.S. alone, there are thousands of plastic bags used and wasted a year.

· About 12 million barrels of oil are used to make those thousands of bags.

· Using all that oil leads to large-scale disasters such as the gulf spill.

· Thousands of marine animals and about 1 million birds die because of plastic bags or related issues.
