Item of the week...black tunic

Black tunics are perfect for pairing with leggings, if the tunics are long enough. (See blog below for wearing leggings.)  You can also pair them with anything ranging from skinny jeans or pants, slacks, or skirts.  Because of the tunic's  simple style, it's also fun to pair with different jewelry.  Long pendant necklaces, chain necklaces, chunky chokers, big chunky earrings, dainty earrings...they all look good on tunics!  Most tunics also run a 3/4 length sleeve, making them perfect for bangle bracelets!

Item of the week...leggings!!!

Leggings are a must this season!  They are perfect for everything from picnicking on the weekends to lunch with friends at your fav restaurant to the office to dinner or the club!  Dress it down with long tees or up with dressier tunics or mini dresses.  Dress it up with chunky accessories or pair it down with a simple long pendant necklace.  However you decide to dress them, here are a few tips for wearing leggings.

• Try to wear with long tunics or tees that go to mid-thigh.  This will help enhance your figure and will keep you from looking like you're on your way to the gym.
• Pair leggings with ballet flats or simple pumps.  Stay away from the stilleto heels on this one.
• Stay away from shiny fabrics. 
• If you're petite, avoid tunics and dresses that go below mid-thigh.  Also, strive for a monochromatic ensemble, which will elongate you!
• When wearing a tunic top or tshirt, it's best to balance out the tightness of the leggings with a roomier style on top.  However, if you're pairing a mini dress or skirt with the leggings, it's OK for the dress or top to be a more fitted style. For example, pairing our black leggings with our blue jersey knotted strap dress would be totally cute! 
• Treat your leggings as an accessory, not as pants.  They are simply used to enhance a casual outfit, not used to replace slacks.  They are also not the main component of the ensemble.  Match the color of the leggings to a color that can be found in the rest of the outfit. 
• Another option to leggings, however, are skinny pants.  It fits almost like leggings but have the style and fabric of slacks or jeans.  These are a super cute option of making a leggings outfit look dressier or more chic...We are almost completely sold out of our skinny pants, but may bring in more...

Jazzing up your wardrobe doesn't require the purse of Paris Hilton, Oprah's book of fashion advisors or a peek inside a designers portfolio. All you need is a quick trip to Bliss!


Try my fave item of the season, the simple Knit dress with belt, hitch it up and team it with Bliss's A line skirt and your got the perfect ...smart casual look.

Last Summer Giveaway!

Summer is almost over!  At Bliss, we are celebrating a great summer with our last summer giveaway contest!!  The greatest thing about this contest is that EVERYONE wins!  Yes, you heard correctly.  It broke our heart to only be able to award one prize, knowing that there were so many deserving women out there!  So, this time we are giving out prizes to any woman who wants one...
